SURROUNDED

I know you're in a tough season right now.

Surrounded by rubble and ruins of what was.

I know it feels helpless and lost.

Maybe you've given up all hope.

Desperate for encouragement.

Feeling consumed by your thoughts.

Today, muster enough energy for one small thing.

That's all it takes to make a difference.

Breath in the sunshine.

Let the warmth flood your soul with strength.

Hear the birds sing their song for the broken-hearted.

Believe in this moment that you're just getting started.

The world around you is awakening and full of hope.

No winter lasts forever.

Soon, your dry bones will rise up in confidence.

All the color of springtime will be reborn.

I've asked my God to surround you.

I appealed for wisdom to solve your problems.

I requested courage so you can overcome.

Beseeched his favor to be upon you.

Demanded peace that makes the darkness tremble.

Claimed silence over all your fears.

Friend, I'm here for courage.

If you stretch out your hand, I'll reach back for it.

When you're feeling alone, I'll be your comfort.

Give a pat on the back or a big warm hug.

I'm praying over you and I want you to know,

No matter what you're going through,

He'll never let go.

Whenever you need a little reminder,

Look in the mirror and say this little mantra:

I am worthy of a happy life.

I deserve to enjoy this day.

My past is not a reflection of my future.

I will succeed.

I am not alone in this world.

No one can dim my inner light.

I am chosen.
